TWO NEW STAFF MEMBERS JOIN MOHAWK VALLEY EDGE
Mohawk Valley EDGE’s team is growing alongside the Mohawk Valley region’s recent developments.
Rome, N.Y. –Mohawk Valley EDGE announces its hiring of two new staff members: Chris Lawrence, Vice President of Planning and Development and Hannah Phillips, Director of Marketing and Communications.
“We are pleased to welcome Chris Lawrence and Hannah Phillips to Mohawk Valley EDGE,” said EDGE President Steven J. DiMeo. “These are exciting times for the Mohawk Valley Region and we look forward to having Chris and Hannah play a key role in continuing the region’s economic momentum.”
Prior to accepting this role, Lawrence acted as Utica’s city planner. Lawrence studied Urban Planning and Geography at the State University of New York at Albany, where he assisted NY Empire State Development with Strategic Business Development as an intern.
“I look forward to impacting the greater Mohawk Valley region,” said Lawrence. “There is a lot to be learned at EDGE, and projects like the Tech Barn are exciting prospects. This position is a welcome change that will expand on my decade of city planning experience.”
Phillips joins EDGE from the Russian History Museum in Jordanville, NY, where she was Public Engagement Coordinator. She holds an MA in English literature from SUNY New Paltz, with an undergraduate minor in journalism. “I am ready to spread the word of what our region has to showcase,” said Phillips. “From expanding developments with companies like Wolfspeed to ongoing downtown revitalization initiatives, this is a lucrative time to start at EDGE. I can’t wait to meet with more stakeholders to help foster and enact growth in our area.”
