EDGE Presents at Upstate New York Brownfield Symposium

Senior Economic Development Planner, Jeff Rehler, presented alongside Heather Devitt of Mohawk Valley Economic Development District, Inc. and Natalie Francesco of NJIT TAB at the. During the presentation, Jeff introduced one of our brownfield sites to a panel of experts and the audience, highlighting the project’s potential, progress, and challenges. Afterward, we discussed the site in greater depth with the panel and audience. This was more than a presentation; it was a collaborative effort among industry leaders to share ideas, help one another, and build connections.

There is no manual for solving many of the challenges that arise in economic development. Cleaning up legacy brownfield sites requires people to work together, exchange ideas, and pursue the greater good collectively. We were thrilled to attend this event with both old and new friends. Collaboration across upstate New York is stronger than ever, and we are ready to build on that momentum. Thank you to BCONE – Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast for hosting us in the Salt City.
