EDGE Sponsor’s Multiple Nano Industry Events

Mohawk Valley EDGE under the brand, Marcy Nanocenter at SUNYIT, along with NY Loves Nanotech have co-sponsored several leading industry events in May. The first opportunity was in early May at the “Beyond 300mm Workshop” at Minatech, Grenoble, France presented by Semi Europe. This intensive workshop focused on the planning and evolution of the industry’s target to develop a 450mm wafer platform. “With most of the research for the 450mm wafer happening at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering in Albany, NY, it makes sense to be a sponsor, said EDGE executive, Mark Reynolds. “It worked out that the Workshop in France occurred while the largest manufacturing trade show in Germany, The Hanover Trade Fair, was occurring. EDGE was able to be present at both.” The Semico Impact Conference was May 6-10 in San Jose, CA. Semico is one of the leading industry research organizations. This conference releases their annual forecast for the industry. Also on this trip to the west coast, EDGE officials met with a variety of industry leaders regarding the opportunities at Marcy Nanocenter at SUNYIT. The” Manufacturing and Technology Enhancements” Reception during Semi’s Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Conference on Tuesday, May 15 in Saratoga Springs, NY was a networking opportunity with authors of industry research and conference attendees. Marcy Nanocenter at SUNYIT is also a sponsor of a premier industry event, the World Semiconductor Congress in Saratoga, NY this week. This is the first time this elite group of global leaders has gathered in New York State. “This event only takes place in the United States every three to four years, and is typically in Asia or held on the west coast, said Steve DiMeo, President, Mohawk Valley EDGE. “Having New York host this prestigious event gives Marcy Nanocenter at SUNYIT and all of the terrific assets in New York an opportunity to showcase themselves to the CEOs of semiconductor companies.
